hi to all successive readers. since i am the initiator of this topic let me define the horizon of this topic so that the discussion doesn't go in wrong direction. i personally percieve that Karimganj is not changing or rather i must say it is not responding to the changes around it. look at Silchar, Guwahati,Agartala all these cities have undergone a radical change in the past few years or so. but very unfortunately look at our Karimganj one can still find the same infrastructure, same mentality of people and most ironically the same enthusiasm for every unnecessary things like college politics, strikes, friday's first show, and lot many things like this. i just don't understand one thing why these people who just runs to the field in the morning for practicising, the self proclaimed famous singers and dancers who still reharsals a lot before performence---- don't understand that if they were to earn fame and money by that way they would have earned it many days back. for God's sake somebody should come up with an idea as to how these mobs can be rightly directed and can be made realised that the golden time they have been wasting will never come back and at the end of the day they would just remain as an one more addition to our dark Karimganj history. |

???I AM FROM KARIMGANJ, AND I AM VERY PROUD TO BE A KARIMGANJIE. WE MUST REMABER THAT ALL SYLETHI SPEAKING HINDUS CAME FROM BANGLADESH, AND CAME TO KARIMGANJ AS REFUGIES IN 70. WHAT WE REFUGIES HAVE DONE IN THE LAST 35 YEARS PLUS IS VERY BIG ACIVEMENT. BASICLY WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IS THAT , WE CAME, WE SAW AND WE STAYED. AND NOW WE ARE PROGRESING. |

hello sir
thanks for ur opinion abut my topic. but let me tell we how do you decide our performence was significant for the last 35 yrs. it can be decide only when you compare this performence with others. do you think the growth rate during last 35 yrs is same as that of the other cities mentioned by me in my previous post. if you think yes then i hardly find any reason to argue with you. and you said you are proud to be a karimganjian, i will ask you what makes you to be proud. just because you are allwd to take a breath, to roam to talk in the dist.
have you or rather most of the karimganjian like me have done anything good to it. the answer is straight away no. and this is the reason why we are lagging behind others. and lastly just to remind you that Britishers were also refugees and the way they have ventured into our country hardly requires to be mentioned.
so lastly just to tell you please don't be satisfied with whatever you have got. have that hungry within you and work hard we will make it. |

hi friends, This pulak from karimganj, currently in delhi sr. software eng. in IBM. I have seen ur discussion on the same. I think every body is proud in this world, whatever he is. But it is not a matter of proud or argue with some body.Yes its better to discuss but only discussion is not enough, The person like us who think about all this, we try to implement our thought in real world then only we can say that we are realy proud today.
