Now the BIG one !! ADDABAJ of the YEAR, the MAHAADDABAJ 20004 !!
Some rules:
8)Last day of voting 31st Dec 2004.
8)You can vote for as many users as you wish but can vote only once for each user.
8)Your vote will be counted ONLY if you have registered as a member before 1st Dec 2004. However you can be voted for, no matter when you registered.
8)In case of a tie, the number of votes received by users who have voted for you will be used as a tie breaker.
8)You can vote for yourself.
8)Silchar.com is aware of multiple usernames of the users. And this title "the MAHAADDABAJ 20004, Addabaj of the year" is more of a recognition for the great posts of our addabaj family than a mere competition which should be won no matter how. As a self-appointed attorny for the disqualified candidates, following arguments in favour of my clients are placed in front of the election commision
1. As the rules laid down by the commision clearly mentions that a person can vote for him/herself (vide rule no 5, section mohaaddabaz 2004), everyone has the right to vote for him or herself.
2. As an individual, everyone's identity remains the same whether he/she is using one or more log on name.
3. Since the identity is same, the person can vote for the self from any one of his/ her account.
4. It is meaningless to see if the person has voted for which of his/her user name and by using the same user name or not.
5. If any of my clients has voted for his/her one user name by using other of his/her user name, this could not be considered as fraud and this does not render his/her candidature invalid.
6. However, if any of my cilents has voted for self by using more than one user name, this amounts to unfair practice and his/her disqualification is justified.
7. The election commision should take note of the right of the candidates provided by the Indian penal code (no11 section 7(b) chapter 23) and should have served a show-cause notice to my clients before disqualifying their candidature.
Counter argument from the prosecution lawyer is most welcome ;)
