neglected state of culture in Barak Valley

Dear Silcharites,
I had a talk with Mukunda Bhattacharjee . he told me about the neglected state of halls and cultural complexes in Silchar.
I then decided that this matter of culture funding is serious.
The Brahmaputa Valley is getting its due of state funding of performing arts from Sangeet natak Academy and NEZCC.
But the Barak valley is being neglected.
I therefore want to suggest that SPIC-MACAY(Silchar unit) alongwith NEZCC and Doordarshan should organise a National Integration Festival at silchar. Assam Univ could be a suitable venue for the fest.
Classical dancers like
malti shyam (kathak), kovita dwibedi(odissi), geeta chandran(bharatnatyam) could be invited there.
Alongwith this in the fest could be screening of hindi feature film (Swaraaj) by Anwar Jamal , and also Mathia (a Kok-borok feature film).
Think it seriously and start planning for this.
Nothing is impossible-
