But this feeling lacks in the recent Bangla movies......Majhkhanor kisu Bangla movie eto jakhanya hoito je kita koitam !! Hero-heroine tarar mota komor loiya joba gas er jangale nachiya nachiya gaan gaira !!! This is a nice topic started by sidchkra , actually there are many movies which are really good but to countdown my favourites, it goes like this,
From Uttam Kumar : Saptapadi, Jay Jayanti, Tumi je amar, alo amar alo, shohorer iti kotha, sannashi raja, ananda ashrom, ogo badhu sundari, chaddabeshi.
Aar ekhoner filmer madhye amar ekta film bishon bhalo lage "thikana" starring Arjun Chakraborty, Debosree Roy and others, then Guru Dakhina starring Tapas paul.

yes Mrinmoyda, ananda ashram is a great movie and another blast of Uttam kumar is Sanyasi Raja. This film also has some remarkable scenes and some very good songs. Like,
bipin babur taron sudha
metai jala metai khuda
another bengali film of Uttam Kumar which I like a lot is Sohorer iti kotha, starring Uttam kumar and Mala Sinha.

Dear Nari, the song that you have quoted is from Uttam Kumar's AMANUSH, and not from Sanyasi Raja of course.
The numbers from Sanyasi Raja are
"Kaharba noy dadra bajao........."
"Na na na na ... aaj raate ar jatra shunte jabo na......"

aami khub beshi bangla cinema deksi na. and of the films that I have seen most are classics. the yongest bengali hero whose film I have seen is Prosenjit. latest film that saw was Raasta by Bratya Basu starring our own Mithunda. It's a pity that he acts in those trash B-Grade films. He puts in an effortless great performance an an otherwise not upto the billing film. |

Keu ki 'Sanjh Batir Rupkothara' dekhso?It is a film based on Joy Goswami's novel 'Sanjh Batir Rupkothara'.It starred Soumitra Chattopadhyay(my all-time favourite)and Indrani Haldar.
Dipanjan mentioned 'Shwet pathorer Thala' and its cast but I wonder how he forgot about Aparna Sen.I loved the character that Aparna Sen portrayed in that film.If I am not mistaken,it starred Indrani Haldar also.Onek chhoto thakte dekhsilam.

I think the trick in the signature is when u send a request for the image to the server, it captures your IP and other information and the server on the fly generates(using GD Library or something else) the image picking up some random phrases provided by the user. Those data showing in the image are dynamic ,so it has to be generate on the fly using server side scripts.
You can visit www.danasoft.com to create your own signature. Couple of months back I found this signature while browsing a forum.

"Shwet Patharer Thala" was one of the last films that I watched in Gopinath. One of the stepping stones towards stardom for Rituparna Sengupta. (Incidentally, she is prob. the only bengali star to have a site of her own, pretty professional looking 'n well managed. Her worse-half is a software guy, probably helps.)
Prabhat Roy, pre and post this movie has made more memorable movies, but still this one's his best directorial venture.
