It is about a famous sportsman of Silchar. He was famous for his quick English composition. He was a good friend of many English tea garden owners. Many years after independence one English youngman came to visit Silchar. When India became independent he was just a baby. He visited our elderly sportsman who had been his father's friend. He invited him for a Bengali meal. At the end of the meal misti doi was served. The young man could not identify the item and so asked, "Uncle what is this?" Our man in question quickly answered, "Tony, you know not what is this. It is milk --- sleep whole night - morning tight - then misti doi". |
