...I think I had apologised even before I wrote anything as I had a gut feeling that such intrusion would definitely irk some particularly irksome people( though I see no reason why anybody should trace my lineage when all I intended was some healthy banter between me and hendrixisgod )...
Come on people...if you don't have a sense of humour, then you'll probably get rubbed off on the wrong side every minute of your life...
And honestly, I don't care two hoots about people who seem to like getting involved in unnecessary mud-slinging...I didn't post anything vulgar or malicious to anybody, posted with my own ID ( and not as a guest as some of you )and did everything with the only intention that it would be taken in the spirit it was intended for...
If some people aren't too pleased about all that...it's really your problem...

And if you still have the time, have a look at the 4 words that appear as my signature after each of my posts...I personally value those a million times more than your two-letter-wonder...but I wouldn't go ranting about in public if someone were to create something funny out of it.

yes,that is what we used to do when we were in class viii or x......pink floyd's appeal is to the beginner,anybody who has started to listen to rock thinks pink floyd are THE ones....but once you go a little further down the road..you realise one fine morning that you have not listened to your floyd cd's for 6 long months.....inevitable something better comes along.obviously you have never heard scott joplin.... or keith jarrett for that matter...ummm,ever listened to miles davis?that might be a start.you might even try some grateful dead,y'know.
i think pink floyd basically is an accessory to acid..without acid..it's dumb.

Scott Joplin's and Keith Jarrett's genre of music is quite different from Pink Floyd's.They are traditional jazz musicians, pianists at that.Pink Floyd was kind of a jazz group initially but their later music was a signature of their own with all the psychaedelic stuff.yes David Gilmour's guitar is definitely blues influenced, but then whose isn't except for the heavy metal guys.That doesn't mean there is a comparison between a Scott Joplin and Pink Floyd.Yes if you talk about the other Joplin then maybe there's chatter.

well,well,well...looks like a lot has been happening in the room since i was last here :o :o :o.....iunknown defending pink floyd as ever..and our newbie who obviously thinks he is rahul bose being aloof and urban...i think music should never be a source of argument and discord....people should be left to decide for themselves.....imho,scott joplin and keith jarrett are horribly bad musicians. ;D ;D..miles davis  is much better than any of them..i know mr sen will probably disagree,but he is welcome to his opinion if he will let me have mine.

Hell no, pal....Gilmour is no great shakes as a guitarist.he is so so....but Pink Floyd as a band has produced great music..gotta give credit where its due.

Don't compare "OM" with "OLD MONK". Both have there own power.

Mera Bharat Mahan, World Cup kar deya Daan!

India is never going to get golden opportunity like this atleast in next 10 editions of WC. We had Kenya for semis ! We won the all important toss in semis and Finals. Pitches were to out liking. We had all the so called big guns blazing till finals. Yet we falltered to decieve. Believe me 1983 is going to be our only WC win for atleast next 40 years. The first over said it all. No balls, wides, short pitched stuff etc. etc. this criminal bowling performance should not be forgiven.
Whatever Cricket Pundit says .I am not agree ...No excuse please... Mr.Ganguli should accept that the decision to field was wrong .The wrong decision of electing to field have cost us the cup. It was a Blunder.
like rest of Indian I am also disappointed !It was a Bakwas sunday !
