Our batch 1992 passout was real funloving ... i remem all those incidents and timepass stories ... "Ganja Khaiya Bhom" ... "Horiya Nonde Bol "  ...  and offcourse the substitue bengali teachers all of whom gave up in their attempts to control the class ...
remem Sir Monis English (with due regards ) ... ( sample story : in the republic day parade the boys were real good but due to stiff competition came second ... girls were quite good to get the first position ... next morning , the principal asked Sir Moni to tell all of us how it went .. and offcourse in English  :D ... I was on the stage ... Sir Moni came up and started ... "yesterday parade girls good , first place ... boys were very good second place I am APPRECIATE" and started clapping on his own ... the whole audience didnot know what to do ... and soon we all who were on the stage started clapping ... and he was saved  ;D ;D

Mrs Ghosh ( work exp teacher ) ... had 4 strong words and quite strangely it used to be always in the same sequence ... if I remem right "Dustu chele , Naughy chap , Cunning Fox , Bador chhana " .. so at time suppose she starts off "Henry Sinha (my dear dear friend ) where is your homework" ... He stands up and says he forgot ... and Miss ( we always used to call all lady teachers miss ) ... starts "Get out of my class YOU DUST CHELE , NAUGHTY CHAP .. " and the whole class used to join her saying "CUNNING FOX BADOR CHHANA " ...  there are atleast 10 more stories involving our revered Mrs Ghosh ...
There was one Madam who used to teach us Hindi ( 5 6 7 elementary Hindi ) ... and when the whole class used to greet Madam .. GOOOOOD MORRRRNIING MADAM " , there was our friend Manna Das ... who without any miss used to wish "GOOOD MORNNNNNIIIIIIIINNNNGGG BADAM " and everytime it used to be so loud .... and the next sentence we used to hear was "Maannna Das get out of the class" ...  my friends can join in and jot down a few stories ... 10 years of fun ...

Cheers
premasish

Another fundoo topic where a lot of people can contribute to give a lot many others a few good laughs.I think each batch will feel they had the best time but atleast the classs of '92 has a headstart here.

One story about Ms. Ghosh (who sadly is no more)...We were in IX or X and it was the first W.Exp class of the year and she announced that she would appoint a leader for this class from among us who would co-ordinate/maintain discipline/stop people from going to toilet without permission/bring back people who've spent more than enough time in the toilet(actually backfield) etc. etc. Daipayan Chakroborty got the not-too-coveted post. A few minutes later,we were to write something on a piece of paper and give it to Miss.
Miss : Daipayan, please collect all the papers...
(Daipayan is too busy finalizing the next hookah-session at Karlan's house with Indrajit to hear Miss).
Miss : Daipayan...DAIPAYAN !!!( still no reply and class is as always, buzzing with group discussions and nobody really bothered)
Suddenly Miss bellows : Shakir Ahmed !! ( Who suddenly appears from the back benches)...You'll be new Monitor !!
Daipayan rule lasted for about 10 mins at the most.

Then there was the first day in Class IV and Sir Charles asked each one to get up and tell his/her name , father's name and occupation, etc. etc. We all had our turns and than Sarat Singh ( or "Bungo") got up and started...and just as he came to his father's job part, half the back-bench shouted " Shidol Business !!!!"

Then there was the great Royal-man-liana ( not the correct spelling) who was the typical "dada" to two of our classmates in Class V and used to keep them as his body-massage boys  to help him sleep off some of the classes. :)

Karlan Shnen (correct spelling), the unchallanged expert in all the forbidden things in life who moved out of hostel and rented his own house where pork and hookahs were available. He grew shoulder-length hair and fathered two children much before we entered degree courses !!

Deborshi Bhowal vs the rest of the class : I think the headline is more than enough. And to think of the Deborshi of today !!!

We also had certain people whom we called "donkey", "labour union","kalimai", "bhushi" ( I dare not name them). ;)

And how many you remember our farewell where the class IX girls performed a sizzling " Mera laung gawacha..." and everyone went absolutely wild ??!!

Shakir Ahmed : I could write a book on him...this guy used to spray perfume on wood-strips and pass them off as sandalwood...he also used to have a whole world of electronic and mechanical parts/gadgets in his bag.Very difficult to catch him in Bangalore these days.

RAJESH LAL : Should be written in bold, golden letters...I and Premasish have probably not laughed more than while he was preparing for his mimicry show for I think Teacher's Day ( today is 5th September again)...this fellow was also ultra-flexible...could bend all his fingers backwards  to touch his arm and his elbow could rotate atleast 60 degrees...was a treat to watch during march past. The only dialogue I remember is : " Amar Leo Tolstoy bondook diya taare  dishum dishum gulli maariya baaire kori ditam !!"

Chetna Somani,Ritu Khetan,Puja Jain,Ajay Goel,Sariful,Florida Pothmi,Suman Sipani (my "reserve-place" in class X): No special incident, just wondering where they are now ??

That ink-spraying session ( with the water from Premasish's Dim-boat experiment) towards the end of Class X where almost evry boy and girl got their clothes dirtied and the expected reactions from Mrs.Dasgupta and Sister Hedwige !!

Speaking of Mrs.Dasgupta, she had her stories of the "Oshoor tribes in Ranchi and Hazaribagh" were she lived previously. Years later, when I was in Jamshedpur and was travelling to Gaya for a colleague's wedding, I finally saw both Ranchi and Hazaribagh and Mrs.Dasgupta was the first thing that came to mind. There are other not-so-funny stories about her which I'll not put down and avoid mental stress. >:( >:(

Then there was Daipayan's "Abar chai Samaantha !!" performance which one day went to such heights that it inspired Niloy Shome ( my "mama") to pull down the ceiling fan blades in the Class II room where we used to hang out during tiffin. The fans ended up looking like tandoori chicken legs in a dhaba.

In the junior classes, everybody used to be terrified of "hostel boys" and their warning " You want ??? Come chutti-time, singul-singul,don't bring paaarty, don't tell principal !!" ;D

Probably one post isn't enough..will add more in the future...I hope lots of people join in...these may not be funny to the people from other batches but I'm sure anybody from that class will instantly related to these stories.

O, those good old dayz...Fondly remember Sir Chakraborty who started the 1st Chapter of Class VIII (Sc class) 'Ekta tukra of iron, if put in water, kita hoilo?' And all of us prove our lung power shouting @ the top of our voice 'Rust Sir, rust'.
Who hardly ever spoke a complete sentence in English, I met him @ a bank a few yrs back, he refused to speak in anything but English...Sister Cleofa, who started of taking Adv Maths in Class VIII, always said 'so on and so forth' after almost every sentence.Later everytime she started 'and so on' we used to complete 'and so forth'...We took pride in getting rid of any teacher who came as a substitute of Miss Monisha.Wonder where and how she is now. Saw her last 5 1/2 yrs back...
Mrs Ghosh - she cud b a whole thread of discussion herself.
Sad to hear 'bout her...Teachers Day was so much fun...and so was Parents Day...The assembly, the threatening fine for talking in ur mother tongue, PT classes, Sir Moni's command ' Aye Boys and girls, dont open ur mukh', and ofcourse the new style of folding the exams paper introduced back then...and Sir Moni telling me 'bhainj ur paper' - gosh those dayz were golden...Thanx Premashsh for starting this thread on our HCS...Hope Ex HCSians still remember 'A Happy Band...'?

...from far and near? la la laaa  :D :D :D
dhistan dhistan ;D
hmM...class IX girls...dancing  :D...the class X guys going berserk... >:( >:( >:(
perhaps the savage garden werent right when they sang
the grass is no greener on the other side...sigh sigh!...for the grass IS always greener on the other side ;) ;)what say?
anyways, I have a lot to tell about my tryst with hcs...memories of those fun filled days still engenders within me a longing to go back to those days...those were probably the days of selfless 'masti' where you didnt hurt someone by cracking a joke at him/her. Before I get down to my batchmates, I would like to add, I do not know the whereabouts of most of my schoolmates, but even after about eight years of leaving the school and parting from a majority of those batchmates, I still would recognise anyone of them even if I get only a glance at them. For faces may change, but certain childhood traits always show on one's face.
One of the first things that I remember about school is my reaching there late, almost everyday and having to withstand the wrath of Sr. Headwigh and later Sr. Febronia  >:( >:( >:( . Once it so happened that when I was in Class IX, Sr. Febronia caught hold of me entering the school late. >:( >:( She gave me a bitter scolding and as a result, I was considerably late in reaching the class. Sr. Headwigh(of all people) had to be my class teacher then. She was calling the rolls and then I entered. She asked me,
            'Why are you late?'
                 -Sr. Febronia called me.
'Why did Sr. Fabronia call you' ?
                 -Because I was late.
     She gave up. ;)
Our class boasted of some intriguing people, intriguing in their very own ways. One such lad was Sariful Laskar and his bossom pal was Hari Prasad. Now these two were characters. Once it so happened that sariful was riding in his cycle near Meherpur and Hari was on his cycle too coming from the opposite way. The spotted each other and collided against one another near the Birbal Bazar. Then they shouted abuses at one another and one thing leads to the other, they started using their limbs. People gathered around them watching the incident as barrage of expletives were being shouted by Sariful and Hari at each other. This coninued for about five minutes and then these two suddenly burst out into a laughter. They embraced each other continuing their laughter. The people there were stunned. Then out came the explanation, 'are amra to bondhu' tumrare aua banaibar laigya ita korlam ...HEEHEE...ekk arua boincho nani tumra'. and then fled away.
Brothers in arms. ;D ;D
And one more incident that I do not know how the admin and Jimut da both forgot to mention. Because on this matter, our batch took a cue from theirs. While we were in class IX and they in X(now thats something that isnt too tough to guess...still), we were hit by the PLANCHAT fever.  :o :o :o One fine day we heard tat these people had locked themselves inside the classroom and were upto something fishy...  >:( >:( we had our moles inside their class,  ;D and we came to know that they were trying to planchat. So we started it too. Me, Pranoy, Sandeep, Sudeshna( :D ), all of us sat together on a table with a coin placed at the centre of the table and the four of us touching it with out forefingers and trying to concentrate. We were supposed to call on Rabindranath tagore  :o. The windows were shut and the doors were closed. And everyone was sitting peacefully watching the fun. I was saying man-hi-man main... 'Rabindranath, apne ai jain, taratari ai jain'. After about an hour we felt as if the coin were moving. And then Pronoy got restless and a little scared too perhaps, and gave out a cry...and everybody opened their eyes and whoshhhhhhhhhhh...gone was Rabindranath. What happened next, I am sure pranoy would not like to remember  ;D ;D ;D . Perhaps the then Class X guys would let us know about their trysts with the spirits.
The school is one place where you come across some of the best people in your lives.   In my case it has been too many. Too many good people,  :D and that is probably the best thing my school lofe has given me. People whom I miss even today, whom I long to spend some time with, people whose abscence kind of enforces a lonliness on me, every now and then.
Will come back again with some other tales, for this is one topic that is too close to the heart to overlook.

I passed out in the 1985, but the fond memory of the school days still haunt. We had a wonderful batch and iI still cant forget the schooldays nuances of some of my friends namely Powning Gangmai, Tarun Ghosh, Surojitsinha Roy, Manikanchan aqnd other. I still cant forget how we bunked friday calsses in the noon time for a movie and the same was masterminded by surojit ttrideep, saidul, bikash, manu. The memory of parents day function and the republicday parade are still vivid in my memory. Not because of any patriot feelings but because of the chances to make fun and downsize the compatriots from collegiate school. The participation at various sports and cricket tournament  always reminds me of sir Ajay.I still could not forget the display of pyramids by the groups of mates in the parents day .

Good to see the Holy Cross thread on top after a long time. I was just wondering of any of you have any idea about the current fee structure and facilties at our school ??

I guess you have mandatory computer classes these days...probably chemistry and physics labs as well...

In our time we had one forgotten skeleton with a chalk between his teeth in one corner of the "Reading Room" that was never ever used ( or was it ?? ) No Physics equipment that I can remember of though...We had the timepass PT and Drawing classes when girls tried out Needlework and then we all got clubbed to Work Experience probably in Class VII...seems quite funny now...rememering all those terms.

We also had on whole wall-rack full of retorts, beakers, test tubes and some fungus ridden Copper Sulphate that I saw being used only twice, thanks to Mrs Das Gupta sometime when we were in Class VII or IX. We also had one or two dissection classes in Class X where some us got to spend one whole period in the Back Field looking for frogs to bring back to class...we got a few frogs and I also managed to catch a snake ( non-vemonous, of course ! ) alive !!! Of course, Mrs Das Gupta would have none of it and so we had to let it go :D :D

I remember the fees were Rs 15/- per month when I was in KG I and it climbed to Rs 65/- when I was in Class X...the annual fees were probably around Rs 250/- towards the end...

I'm sure the fees must've have gone up by leaps and bounds now...and hopefully the facilties...

Bye for now...

PS: Was looking at the last few posts...Ratnaboli,Moon moon,Rajashree,Rachita...All juniors but I guess I still remember all of them a bit...but I'm sure the faces have changed over the years and I probably wont recognize any of them right now :)
Lemme do a memory check...
Ratnaboli was this little girl ( then  :))...probably Yellow House ( or Red ? No I'm 99% certain she was Yellow House)...did a few plays if I remember correctly apart from dancing ...

Moon Moon I know since a long time...our mothers were colleagues so...Green house ( I think )...

Rajashree was probably Yellow House...in fact I always felt the batch one year below us was much better than our batch...lots of very talented and enthu-filled people...Rajashree probably used to sport 2 pleats...very energetic and usually part of every dance program we had.

Rachita : I'm confused between Yellow and Blue House...we were in a Bihu dance team once during Parents Day...I still laugh at the thought !!! Of all the things that I've learnt or done over the years, dancing certainly isnt one of them!!! I would probably never ever dance at a public gathering  again...nor would people allow me to I guess ;D ;D

We were the nautiest batch of holy cross at that time.I remember about our bangla madam(Mrs.Mitali)hopefully all of u r aware of.After her retirement one madam(forgot her name)joined in as new bengali madam. At the first day she spoke a lot about her previous teaching life(how everyone used to fear  her) n how she has heard about our class which was the nautiest class of school.
Believe me that was the the only day we had heard her voice in class.Everyday as soon as she used to enter the class we would welcome her with lots of howling and boos etc etc.One fine day ofcourse all her patience fell out and she started crying, pleading as to the reason why we were troubling her.
Ofcourse from that day we thought of giving her some respite n didnt  give her a chance of any complain.

Mrs. Mitaly was probably an advanced mathematics teacher and not bengali, unless you refer to some other teacher with the same name.
Mrs. Manisha used to teach us Bengali, and also Mrs. Sabita.
I am not sure we had Mrs. Mitali ever teahcing us Bengali.

awesome memory ... smiles ... (assuming u r right abt the class teachers :) ) ...

Jimut ... when did u catch a snake ;-) ... oh the skeleton was used once by our (in)famous miss? dasgupta ... maan when i recall the kind of attitude some teachers had .. well luckily for us most of them were really good ppul .. !!

speaking of bengali madams .. well once Mrs. Manisha was off for a few months .. she had some operation done .. and we remm we had atleast 5-6 substitute teachers .. each one leaving .. getting frustated over our behavior :) ... and one of the ladies was literally in tears and threw away the "duster" and ran away sobbing to the staff room never to return !! Now when we think ... someones career must have ended then .. not good !!!

Mrs Mitali was very easily going ... and pretty decent teacher and Sir Chakraborty was pretty good too ... I met him 2 yr back when i visited silchar ...

this thread is really pretty hot !!! Non HS friends .. pls do not divert the discussion ... lets have some fun .. dont spoil the mood out here ... !! pls ... if u want to join u r welcome  .. but no mud slinging ..

When I look back ... we were lucky to be in Holy Cross ... and this was the best we could get from such a remote place in india .. though somehow the students tend to lose the respect and love they have when they reach 10th class ... more becos of a rebellious attitude .. somehow this kind of discussion brings back the oft forgotten memories which were really few of the golden moments of our past !!!

Hail Holy Cross School !!!
Jana Gana Mana .. :)

Mrs. Manisha was indeed a very nice teacher, with her poise and simplicity, so was Miss. Sabita, who were always ready to help us. I still admire them along with all my other teachers who taught me.....I was also a big fan of Miss. Roselyn, Mrs Tilottama and Mrs.Mitali.....Mrs. Mitali always reflected a motherly image ......Once I visited the school couple years back, and I happened to pass by the staff canteen. To my amusement I found Mrs. Mitali talking to Niluda or Lucy mashi (I don't exactly remember) abt the tiffin menu for the canteen that day.  I still vividly remember her saying "Aajke Ghugni ar ruti baniye felo!"....Seeing me she smiled and said that she was in charge of deciding the menu everyday, just like our mothers do :)
Our batch was rebellious in its own way...May be the only batch who staged a class boycott when we were in the Xth std, much supported by Sir Chakraborty and many of our teachers. It was against one of our sisters using some abusive words abt a particular community :),  Our (in)famous Miss, was probably the only one to rebuke us......I guess people who were involved in this rebellion would have understood by now which incident I'm trying to point out here :)......
Also we were probably the only batch who performed Saraswati Puja outside the walls of our school.....
Now when I come think of these incidents, they seem really silly, but we did these with great passion !
Last year I was in Silchar when they had the annual parents' day function. I got a chance to attend the function (thanks to my friend ). Much to my amusement the items that the kids presented were no less similar to the dance numbers that we see on dance programmes like "Boogie Woogie':)
Well times have changed and so has our school. But I still cherish the days that I had spent in this school. I cherish every  moment of fun we had, every monet of mischief that we played and every moment of our innocent pleasures.
I still  remember going to "Kalibarichar", one of the slum areas in Silchar in Xth std, to distribute used clothes to people over there, where Sr. Conelly kept asking people "line maaro"...I guess she meant "make a line"  :))
There are so many memories of my school that its difficult to pen down all in one post......Will keep writing as and when I remember more ......
So long ......Long Live Holy Cross......
"Our love for Thee shall" truly "never fail"......

So Ratnaboli is now a fat little girl ?? ha ha ha...good for you...I guess every girl feels she is fatter than she actually is. Nice to know that you still remember me...although I cannot say that I'm either fat or little ;D Of course, I'm probably as happy as you are...but that's more because I'm still unmarried ;D ;D Maybe I'll see you sometime...in fact, I was in Bangalore for 2 weeks in October. Bhalo thako.

Aar ekta khoob bhala kotha mone koraiso...Mrs Elizabeth Mathews...she used to pronounce "Z" as "e-z", much to our initial confusion and later delight. It was great trying to figure out angle XYe-Z in a figure which had no visible "E"  ;D ;D ;D

Aar ek shokti aasil Miss er aangul-e. Ekdin ( I think in Class VII) amaare class-o kaanmola disla...2nd period asil...tiffin porjonto kaan laal aar byetha aasil...ekhono bhulchi naa...wonder where she is nowadays ?

I'll take a shot at my class teachers followed by those of the other section during my time.
KG 1 : Mrs Andrews ( whats her name by the way ?? ) Was to too young to remember the other class teacher.
KG 2 : Miss Roselyn Andrews. I was too enamoured by her to even bother who the other section said "Good Morning Miss' to.
Class I : Mrs. Roy ( gave us a lot of tough homework...once we were to write something like 1000 to 3000 in both figures and words in 2 days...bujho !  >:(
Class II : Mrs Bardhan...Sister Priska in the other section was also very popular.
Class III : The whole class wept when Miss Madhumita left towards the end of the year, replaced by don't remember who.
Class IV : Sir Charles DasGupta, who else ??
Class V : Mrs.Vijay Nirula / Mrs Choudhury in the other section
Class VI : Miss Sujata
Class VII :Mrs Asha Nirula then I guess Miss Durba Nath for a short time...we really bugged her big time with our resonant "Ummm" s and rubbing of shoes on the floor in unision ;D ;D...Miss Nibedita Ghosh was in the other section but she left in between.
Class VIII :Ms Raina Sharma Bhattacharjee/ forgot about the other section...probably Miss Mitali.
Class IX : I guess sister Hedwige/ Sir Chakrabarty in the other section...Me and Satyam were best buddies and Sir also joined in my grief when we were put in different sections that year.
Class X : Mrs Manisha / Mrs DasGupta in the other section...we had that silly "must-bring-tiffin" rule then after a few guys/girls konked out during the general assembly...funny actually....Sr. Canisia gave us the logic that we don't have proper breakfast so somebody always faints...which begged the question, how could the tiffin, which we were supposed to have 3 periods after the assembly, improve the fainting-ratio ?? Anyway, I remember passing my tiffin box a few times to Mrs DasGupta's section as she would frequently check in the morning. Miss Manisha, thankfully, let us be and we usually had a gala time gorging on whatever tiffin the girls used to bring. When I look back now, I feel the girls had some sort of competition going on between them in Class X about who brings the best tiffin so that most boys eat from her. We were too happy to oblige of course ! ;D And we never really bothered that they themselves never ate anything they brought on most days !!

I'm also reminded of our insipid Moral Science classes...how could we ever have exams on them ?? Remember we had to sometime compose prayers on some topic for 5-7 marks ?? And those 50 internal assessment marks...with points deducted for every 3/4 crosses for talking as per the monitors register ??? Used to really piss me off. The only good point was I guess when we got out new books for a year and we used to scout for example stories that began like...
"Sarita is a young girl who is in Class VIII, she feels she in ove with her classmate Arun and is neglecting her studies thinking about him...what advice would you give Sarita ??"
The height of romantic literature for us those days...that too in a text book...awesome !!!! We waited with bated breath when that chapter would be taken up in class... ;D

Wonderful, wonderful days...

This thread is really on fire.
Maha_addabaz has to be my batch...
yes the incident was in class 9...and we were the second batch to perform 'Saraswati Puja'...
I remember coming to the school early on the morning...and finding none of my friends knowing nairkol kila katoin...I was adept at that and for an hour I sat at Pinak Pani Das's house and did the trick with nairkol...must have chopped almost half a dozen.

planchat was the other BIG thing the previous season...started by the class 10 batch then, and had set imaginations of the kids on fire...until the sisters had to draw a line and call the entire thing off...

you guys have mesmerising memories...and like I said...after quite a while, I find this messageboard really really live.

planchette :) it all started in that classroom when Miss Mitali told us to spend time on our own and Vikram of our class was doing something quite crazy ... so when i asked him what he was doing he said .. planchette ! I laughed at him and challenged him to show us how to do so .. and soon I and Jimut were experts and teaching the whole school ;)
After a week or two I remem the sisters asked us to go round the school telling each class not to try so ..
So I remem going to class 3 .. 4 .. 5 ..6 asking the question: Do u guys know what planchette is ? Few said Yes and others No.. what is it? So we said .. those who dont know abt it nevermind .. others pls dont try this !!  All this becos some moron from some junior class got slapped and got knocked out by some spirit when he was trying to connect to his grandma ;-)

But in the coming months .. Jimut and me contacted the souls atleast a hundred time ... long stories .. maybe  some other time :)

I remember why the craze went dead...there was this guy in class 8...we were then in class 9...and this junior of ours...he used to carry ...zarda to class...
now once while class 8 was having its share of the fun with the spirits, this guy somehow took an overdose of the zarda...came out...and having being robbed of his normal balance by the overdose of zarda, kind of leaned on the raining and was close to letting his balance off...thats when someone noticed him...and coincidentally this was attributed to some spirit actually trying to and topple that guy over.
thats what ended the craze.

Ha ha  ;D the zarda thing is really hillarious.....
We used to do so many other fun things in class......I remember once in class Vii, few of us, inspired by "Famous Five" and "Hardy Boys" tried to form a detective group of our own !! There were seven people in the group, so we improvised the name "Seven Star" for our group :)
We also made seven stars as badges for ourselves, which we were supposed to wear during our secret meetings.....also there was a code book made.....
Now, after a week of formation of the group came our first "CASE"....
One of our friends, also a member in the group, lost a pen,a fine  wing sung pen which was bought very recently, and suspected a lady cleptomaniac tenant to be the person responsible for the missing pen....
We coined up a threatening letter to the lady cleptomaniac and made our friend drop that letter inside the lady's house. The letter read, "We know you have taken the wing sung pen and we are watching you closely all the time . If you do not return the pen it will bring bad luck to you and your family...Blah blah blah.....". We also took pains of not touching the letter with our hands to avoid finger prints and tried to erase any prints after writing it , by rubbing with our handkerchieves !!!!
To our surprise , our first and ever case as the "seven star" detective group succeeded as the missing wing sung pen was found the very next day by our friend lying in the front porch :)
Donno if that was the result of the threatening letter or if it was  overlooked in our friend's earlier search for the pen, but we were thrilled beyond imagination by the success of our case.....
We had even pledged secrecy abt our group....If any of our fellow seven starians are reading this, I'm sorry to have revealed the secret, but could not help bring it up as so many hillarious incidents are being revealed in this forum :)
There are many more hillarious incidents....I will bring them up from time to time as I remember them :))
I have started to really like this forum.....

As far as the planchet sessions go, in one of the sessions it was predicted that there would be someone who would get the 7th position in HSLC and that was followed by Jimut actually securing that position  :o

One of the most funniest incidents at Holy Cross that I came across was during a teachers'  meeting when I had to go to Class II to monitor the class. One of the kids was crying and was holding his water bottle in his hand. When I asked him why he was crying he pointed to another boy and said, "He amar water bottl-o muti dise !!!"  I asked the other guy if he had done that and if so why ? At that he promptly replied, " Ami her sara jol khailaisilam, he gusa korbo dekhiya, bottl-o mutiya bhori disi !!!" Some application of just-in-time thinking !!

Another phenomenon that was commom in every batch of KG classes is that one "Tiffin chor" use to be there, during tiffin time there will be at least one girl crying telling that some one ate her tiffin. ;D

Talking of KG classes......I remember one incident which happened to Neelofer and me.....Some sister ( I can't remember who) was the class teacher of KGII sec B. Lucy mashi was absent that day and she had a girl in her class who wanted to go to the toilet......Our dear sister couldn't leave the class and so she asked us if we could help the kid  , as that week our house was on "duty".....with this she turned us the little girl and we took her to the toilet (the one's which were at the back side of the KG classes of our time .....(Now the KG classes have moved to a new building)....
When we asked the little girl if she could clean herself after the job she said no and started crying........I still remember Neelofer asking "amra jol dhalbo, tumi parbe chuchu korte? "  ;D.... Startled us, poor souls , we didn't know how we were going to tackle the situation...... At that very moment Neeluda happened to come to our rescue.....Our dear sister supposedly found Niluda and asked him to check to see if we were doing ok ;D
