This message is to the VC of Assam University hoping he might scroll up and down this website.
I am totally shocked at the state of affairs going on with Assam University examination system. My sister appeared in her 2nd year B.Sc. Zoology hons. exams March-April 2002. She got exactly 10 marks each in her chemistry and Physics papers. Although she wasn't expecting to top the meritlist or similar, she did work very hard and expected more than 55% in those papers. I am equallly stunned at some of the news that whenever a request for recheck is sumbitted, often times the university return those papers with pass marks and that's it.
Her career is in jeopardy here. Can I hope for a proper check of her papers and give her back the marks that she deserve.
Does anybody here have any other suggestions, comments?
How the heck people keep on dealing with these things without bringing those bastards to justice? |

i heard so many cases like these.I myself faced such a situation once .I too thaught of sending my papers for recheck but my friends suggested that as i have good marks in other subject so to keep mum as out of such a recheck nothing comes up .Its just the wastage of time n money .It was my english paper in which i got so less . .u know the effort i applied for preparation all went in vain ...my friends who always took help from me got good marks ..It was really a nightmare for me.
i can anticipate what ur sister is going through right now ...it pains a lot ....... :'(

sad to know about your sister..though its nothing new with assam university. But i feel the platform you choose to reach out to our "learned,esteemed and proficient" VC won't be of much help to you. He knows only one language...go to the university..if possible with some students..gherao him..and get out of him what you want...beleive me what i am saying..because i am telling from my experience. All the best. |
