….u know….aajkaal khoob miss koree...miss koree oi silchore :-[ kataano koishor,,,,olpetey purno choto chhoto khushy.....choto choto gali-gaalaz,.....beloonwala.. tetool..wala. ..Ghoty-gorom......OK jaa koitey chaairaam..modda kothata oilo ami oto bahala writer fighter naa...but koi din aagey...moner kichoo feelings....which are built based on the sweet green memories of silchar...came to my...and i tried put them down....Surprisingly....it was , i feel a litle bit melodious.....too ( may not be a KAVITA for :-X u all). BUT THE FEELING ...I CHALLENGE...IS THERE IN EVERY SILCHARITE'S HEART..WITH FULL OF DATA/MEMORIES...THE LINES ARE AS FOLLOWS....I m –Durgasonkor-Adhar-G.C.College-REC..ian.so a big part of my SMRITI./nostalgia is based on that…..but most are common to all silcharites. .

First i read the two part poem and then took out a print out of the whole and showed it to the small silcharities number of people here at Baroda. Everybody appreciated it.

Was in silchar yesterday for about 10 hrs. The road condition is pathetic. Not a single road can be termed as motorable.

ashlo, within 2 days we left silchar and landed up at Ambala as he was working with Indian Air Force. Chotee(6) bochor pariagalo
summer vacation plan holo destination - mamabari Silchar. Monar modhee ekta anando - mama bari, pahar, jongol, saap, horin, pagla hathi,
sometime sounds of Tiger but never seen near the tea estate. In those days train journey from one side of the
country to another was really torturing but neverthless it was the mamabari. Travelling through the stations
Lumding, Halflong, Jhatinga, Badarpur those days images are still in memory. I still remember the steam
locomotive which used to pull the wooden body meter guage train used to arrive at lumding station somewhere
at midnight and at the station there was only hotel which used to serve the passanger's with hot rice and the
mouth lickering special fish chaatniiiiiiiiiii(shidol).
Shankar-da you rightly mentioned that only 5 foreign cars and rest were ambassador were used to be seen on
the roads. Grandfather came to receive us at the Tarapur railway station in his company owned huge Black morris car.
I was thrilled to see it & what a royal treatment i was getting may be i was the eldest of the lot. |
