Admin,and my friends, have you noticed? TC does not write in silchar.com any more, again we are losing other silchar.com members. We are losing our valuable members who contributed to silchar.com a lot.
What you people think, have you ever given a thought to it? Why is that so, that no one is bothered? |

bijili, keep writing. just keep a copy of ur posts in ur PC to prevent any loss due to server down or anything like that. come to think of it, I had once lost a whole damned site that had taken me at least 20 odd nights to make. and my hosting service provider just changed his server without keeping a back-up. >:( >:( |

I understand Bijili, Premashish does not have the back up, so he could not recover those posts. If he could, he would have done it on the very first place. We all have lost our many posts. I understand that you put in good amount of time and affort on them. But, you see, life is like that, we lose, we get...that does not mean we stop living. So please do not stop writing. Just think that when you write we enjoy reading them.

then with admin's effort I regained my valued identity ;Das a registered member
then admin had told me that he was working hard on the matter and quoted " A stitch in time saves nine" but I guess though you lost some of your articles but be fortunate that the site still exist!!!

Well My beatiful where did you find me speaking KALSHETTI? amara jetake boli sylcatian. shundor sylheti bolte parle I would have been the most happy person on earth, you know why?? Because I have suffered a lot in silchar during my college days...when my class mates used to say" Desi kuttar bilati dak" You know we sylhetis are very good at pulling legs ;D

Ami jokhoni sylheti bolte chshta korechhi...tor mukhe baje lage bole amake atke deya hoyechhe...silchar.com is the first place where I try to write in sylheti. But when I have something to speak from the depth of my heart I fail to express in sylheti....So the above words I wrote in kolkati. I am trying to learn sylheti, so help me out, Ms Beautiful! :) |

Just got on this site and found the answer to my ? to you on another posting.
Anyway, I understand your predicament. My problem is somewhat opposite from yours, although I can speak Sylheti well enough, I find it extremely difficult to write in Sylheti, :-[and even more difficult to express myself fully in Bengali. so when I get stuck, I have to use English. :-X :-X

Well, my language has got Assamese influence...not sylheti. "Khedi goichhilon" is the origin from where I got "Khede jetam" :)Hope this justifies my argument that Khede jetam was not Sylheti+Kolkattan phrase.
