Software jobs in taiwan/india

thought of posting this first in silchar.com ... if you or any of your friends / acquintances are interested, pls email me at  saayan@farfence.com as soon as possible.

This is a requirement from my client, a taiwan based semiconductor industry solutions firm; it also has R&D offices in Singapore. They are looking for 2 software developers who are excellent in C++ and Visual C++. These persons will be relocated to the taiwan HQ within a few months to work hands on with the core team and the customers there. This overseas assignment will be for abt 2 years duration.
After that, they will be based in India and will be in lead roles for software dev efforts in India. This company has plans to start operations in India around 2004-2005. However, this is speculation and dependent on other factors.

This is really a good opportunity for anyone who wants to do something worthwhile in his career. The work is both challenging and rewarding and you will get good exposure to real design and development experience - this is not a support  role. So, if you are confident, pls send me your resume. I look forward to it.
thanks for reading so far.

Saayan

It's a real nice thing that we have started receiving jobs/career related postings here. The information served here need not be related to only software or for that matter related to only engineering graduates always. It is even better if we start posting information which might be useful for any our guys and particularly we should aim for our guys back home, might be a fresh graduate in Commerce from G.C. College use the information. As today, because of our professional reasons many of us are staying across the globe including various cities of India and naturally we come across many useful information, probably we can leverage a part of that to others.  ektu beshi mati lailam ni....;-)?  But any way a big THANKS to sayan….for the initiative. So guys, get back with thoughts.

Disappointed

Hey, i am very disappointed with the response ... got only one email from people who freequent here. Is it because of the god forsaken taiwan  ;D or is it because there is no one with the required set of skills interested? cannot believe it is the latter. but does  this demonstrate that there is still shortage of people with skills in the computer industry ? :D  ;D

anyway guys, keep it up with whatever you are doing .. my best wishes are always with Silcharis and anyone remotely connected with our little town  :)

It's good gesture to post a job opening. But, at the same time, it's extremely arrogant in thinking that none has any experience in C++. You have all the right in the world to work in Taiwan, China, Thailand, UAE, Somalia, Mexico etc. etc., wherever you want. Similarly, Others also may not be interested to work in Taiwan (when they can get pretty good job in India as well). After all, Taiwan is not US or UK or Australia etc.

The bottom line is that, do whatever you want (“which may include traveling to Taiwan or Singapore for tier 3 or tier 4 customer support or deployment). But, don't assume that everyone is interested in the same thing.

What do you think of yourself, a “Demigod of Silchar” ? You think that if you post a job, everyone will be jumping with joy and rush their resumes to “The Messiha of Silchar”.

I accept that you have made a very good gesture. At the same time, you spoilt everything by showing the attitude that how dare people of Silchar can ignore any (..."R&D"....) job posted by The Great Sayaan Choudhury.

I fully support anybody, who is posting any positions in Silchar.com. But, this accompanying arrogance, simply sucks. Try to learn some humility in life.

Dear "Guest" it seems you have got some serious personal problem with Sayan and that's why you could over-read his message. I don't say you don't settle your score with him, you should do it but not here. The kind of comments you have made or the analysis that you have done can only dampen the honest effort like this or many others which could eventually come our way from other people. Criticism is good, even Rabindranath has said "Samalochana samajer noon, ihaa samaj ke pachan hoitey bachay", but that should be in a constructive way and should not be used to settle personal enmity. And here I am not trying to defend Sayan rather my effort is to defend the "cause".

Don't worry Sayonda,
For a Jesus there was a Judas
For a Julius there was a Brutus
For a Bhisma there was a Shikhandi
For a good job there will be a thousand detractors
And anyway 'Guests' don't have much privileges either  ;D ;D ;D

Dear opinionated "guest", why don't you do something constructive rather trying to malign peoples intention to help. Next time someone else trying to do somthing good will think twice before doing anything, is it worth racking your brains for posting this kind of criticism?
I agree with raahu on this that you might be having some serious problems with Saayan or for that matter life in general. The way you lambast at him speaks volumes of your frustrations , how can you vouch for so many Silcharis who might want to go to Tw and have a job, again comparing US, UK and Australia was ridiculous.

Now thats the reason Saayan is not seen in YM or MSN nowadays. Khub busy mone hor. Well,Saayan, I had talked about this opportunity with a few people. Though there is no dearth of skills in Silchar, but the bottomline is that, no one wants to go to Taiwan, I dont know why.....
And beware, someone is very offended with you. Well, maybe an old enemy ......

Of course, in this context its useless to compare Taiwan to USA/UK/AUS...a lot many good Companies are sending people to Taiwan as well, isnt it, Guest? Anyways, Good luck.

:) Looks like I have to make the point abundantly clear. What I meant is: there are of course people (more specifically, from Silchar) who have the required skills for this job, but they are not interested. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to an opportunity to work with at least one if not more Silcharis and given the lack of response, well, it was a disappointment to me.

If you think that I have nothing better to do than to post jobs in this forum to show my "demigod" and "messiah" status, you are sadly mistaken. And to top it all, the idea of my following up with a message to ridicule abilities of Silcharis is absolutely ridiculous.

I am not posting to defend against "Guest" - i think i know you pretty well  :) so take care before posting irresponsible messages. Do not forget that all messages are logged and you can be tracked down very easily by your IP address, and in this case i know exactly who u are  ;D

Your Threatning is also not in good taste, dear friend.

And another thing, how can you track anyone by IP address ?
This falls under Admins jurisdiction. You are not entitled to track anyone if you wish. The message posted by guest was in bad taste ofcourse, but it was not that seroius which calls for evoking such a vindictive response.

Never mind... Enjoy Life and forget all bad things...
