It's pretty simple, but very nicely worded...and for a small child, it poses a very serious and interesting challenge...as it  did for me when I heard this as a kid.

Apart from the typing mistake, I thought “paai” is  one sixth of an “aana” and 16 aana is one Taka. So  my answer is 6 X 99 = 594. Let quiz master decide who is correct.

Answer-ta khub simple:

A. Jodi pratidin 1 lakh taka koria dewa hoi, taile 30 dine 30 lakh taka.

B. Aar jodi pratham din 0.25 taka koria trish din double kora hoy, taile...
Sum = 0.25(2^30-1)
     = 107,37,41,823.75 taka

Nah...shobe ektu ektu bhool kori laiso...kigoobe was closest but you forgot "tumare loiya sho purai"...of course there is a tendency to divide 2x by 2 for "aadha" and then " (2x/2) by 4 for "paai"...kintu ita oto complicated nai...

Let me first clarify for al the others :
PAAI ----> one-fourth

Taile shomikoron-ta daraibo :
x + x + x/2 + x/4 + 1 = 100
(Amra joto, aaro oto, tar aadha, tar paai,  r tumare loiya 100 )

Solving the above we get the answer as 36 !

My logic was right, unfortunately answer was wrong. The sum of first n numbers in a geometric progression is:

a(r^n - 1)/(r - 1)

where
a= first term
r= common ratio
n= number of terms
