First of all, thank you very much for correcting me. I shouldnot have referred Mr. Principal as "Kigu". I have modified my sentence.
Now...I believe you are not from silchar...or not very familiar with the Silchari language(Specially in REC). So why don't you ask somebody who is from Silchar and speaks Silchari language to translate my english sentence. I am pretty sure he/she will say the same thing I said.
I am Kankan Bhattacharjee (as my ID says) and was a student of REC Silchar in Electrical Engineering Deptt. (2001 passout batch). So now you know I have a relation with REC silchar. But I don't know if you are my senior or junior or somebody somehow related to REC, coz you are hiding behind a fake ID. What I want to say is, if your intention is to correct a mistake of somebody or just giving some funda, be a man and come with your original identity. With a fake identity...you should not write such offending messages.
Now who is ashamed of carrying my memories and who is not is something very personal to me and I don't think I need some assistant to remined me that. So if you have anything personal bout me, let me know. Otherwise I'd say oil your own machine. I'll take care of my business.

You missed the whole point of my message. I didn't ask you to be my friend by identifing yourself. For leg pulling a fake ID is perfect. But when you write something serious...you should Identify yourself and face it like a man. Otherwise how somebody will know that you are not some Joe or Fred from some X place and giving funda to me.
I really don't understand just by giving your identity (not email) how do you think you will make friends in every corner of this world. Unlike you...I'd really love to have friends in every corner of this world. I don't know what is a good friendship and what is bad.....I just love to make friends.
Anyway...Sandy Da...could you please tell me the exact sylethi translation of my sentence. Specially when you are asking it to a REC friend of yours.

8) Chalaia jao...kanky and sandy. So mr. Sandy did u ever see Mr. Virk.....probably not and if by any chance yes, than at that time u were out of the college. So do not comment on what you don't know....ask any student during his tenure. He deserves worse than 'kigu'. Just have a look at our REC now (after he left) when the Director of IIT GHy has taken over...total upliftment of the college is going on..no more politics...80% of the students are already recruited. What more...improved amneties which we never could think of...No more official problems...A very clean and transparent administration. And for God's sake don't go on asking people to respect a thug. >:( |

Hello everybody, enough of fighting. Gutur ... chill out man .... Let me get to some real business. Someone said that 80% of the students who have passed out in July 2004 have been recruited. Correct ? Can someone post a list out here, or send me one with the following data. Name of the company, when it came to REC for recruitemnt, and howmany it recruited.
I need this data in order to convince my company to visit REC for campus. I have tried talking to my company, but they are very reluctant to visit REC this year because they only got a couple of students last year. I also understand that my company has not got any invitations from the T&P. By the way, I am refering to the recruitement of the batch which will be passing out in June 2005. Also, can some one provide me the current recruitment status of the 2005 passout batch.
I am a passout of 1997 from REC, and I would like to see most of my juniors recruited. So can someone from Silchar, please get back to me with the data ASAP. (Note : I work for a company which recruits a huge number of engineer, but the same company is very reluctant to visit REC this year). Maybe, someone can take help from Fazal Sir or Rajat Gupta Sir. I do not know who else might be still there. Altearnatively, one of the lecturers could send me a personal mail, and I will be more than happy to point them in the right directions.
I will follow this topic with more information once I receive a reply.

any body with beer bar stall..!!!! that time..in our time somebody opened a beer bar stall....a restaurant ( with masala dosas...etc)...catching a beer bottle with rings..( another stall)....oooooooohhhhh..nice to remember those days..

I am very surprised to see that no one has replied to my mail. I was trying to help the current rexians ... but I guess somethings never change .... we are busy fighting among ourselves ... and we have time to exchange junk messages .. but no one wants to do something constructive ...

this is a reply for mr.ani.it was to inform you that you have received wrong info about 80%recruitment of the students of 2004 passout batch.but placement status has been improving recerntly.till now wipro and IBM has recruited a good no. of studnts of the 2005 june pssout students.a lot of companies are yet to come... |

Can you please get back to me with excat recruitment figures for both the 2004 & 2005 batches. If you are a student of NIT, then you can get one of the students to reply to me. Like I said in my initial mail, I need statistics to convince my company to come over to silchar for recruitment. And hence, I need help from your side to give me these numbers. Like I said in my previous mail, I need the name of the company, the Date on which the company came to campus, the number of guys it recruited.
I work for a very big company .... and I have strong reasons to believe that my company is not planning to come for campus recruitement to Silchar this year.
So, someone, please give me the statistics ...and be quick. You have problems putting this information on the site send me a personal mail at anis_desk@yahoo.com

I think you are trying for a good cause...but chances are that somebody from the current crop at NIT may not read this....so as always I give a brilliant suggestion...

These are some of the nos. of NIT silchar. Pls take the trouble of calling once...these days A K Sinha is the head of T&P I think. And his (only ;D) mode of functioning is that he gives free access to a few selected students from 3rd and 4th yrs to co-ordinate/ enquire with alumni/companies for options. I've myself been called up by some students from there for this.
So , when you call T&P, somebody will pick up and get your message and make sure you get all the info in quick time.

It doesnt really matter as to who is incharge of T&P. Accessbility to REC and the attitude of the Placement people does make a hell lot of diff....
do we have a student body in the placement committee nowadays ?
Is TCS still the hottest recruiter in rec ? :D
