RENCOFEST, REXTIME and GRAND FEAST

Hello everyone, Just today after a long time I got to spend sometime on the site...and remembering the things that came to my mind about the fun things in college.....the three things coming to mind were the Rencofest, the Rextime and the Grandfeast in the hostel mess....
I remember we had this "newspaper" coming out during the rencofest with all the gubshup and Dr. Watia column , the overheards, the cartoons full of double meaning stories :)...and most of the copies were booked by the faculty...hehe...and there were a select few who always managed to grab a newsitem or two in the Rextime... and there was this clandestine group of people scribbling away the copy of the rextime in some god-forsaken corner of the college... I miss those days...
The grand feast.....we always used to book with pals in different hostels....I remember when we joined the college we used to have 2 messes in Hostel 2...2A and 2B....2B was the best mess...great food....and great atmosphere during the grand feast...... This was one time everyone used to look forward to in college....
anyone having any more fond memories about the fun times????

Khajju you kidding ??? we used to look fwd to the grand feast only in the first year when we were the junior most batch..after that it was all a hide and seek game..haa haa !! |

saala ..wohi Qwaas kha kha ke haath mein aa gayee thi.
Lekin Mess A mein jitni lagi thi uska koi muqabla nahin hai.saala...Jhol wala Omlette.Aur Chuken (chicken) ke naam ke kuch bhi khila dete the..maa ki . |

Abhey woh mess worker yaar tha kya...jo mess ke bagal mein jaakar relieve karta tha...and he never used to wash his hand.... bhaiya inki haathon se pata nahin kya karta tha mess mein....aur woh sanki dahi wala....."bhaiya...toka dedo!!"...haha.....saala ek dahi le lo...to jabh tak paise nahin do....woh to watt hi laga deta tha.... |

haa haa. sahi yaad dilaya. uska naam tha 'manindra' . maa kasam .. i dont remember ki maine 4 saal mein ek baar bhi manindra se plate liya ho . manindra plate lekar aa raha hoga to janta uth ke chali jaati thi ..fir 5 minute baad aati thi.
aur woh dahi wala..haa haa haa. woh pondi ka fav tha. jab tak paisa nahin diya sar pe baitha rahega..uska bas chale to table pe chadh ke baith jaye !!
seriously..kuch to kisse the mess ke bhi ..bygod !!!
