Our Friend is Missing !!!

Friends,
A bright star of Silchar,Soumyajit Guha(Holy Cross batch of 1993) who has been pursuing PhD in economics in JNU after his Masters's from the same university and Bachelor's from Scottish Church College is missing.
Soumyojit and a group of his friends from JNU had gone for trekking somewhere in Himachal some days back.After travelling some distance Soumyo fell sick but still he kept moving.Soon they were in to a dangerous terrain and
his illness increased.But somehow he kept moving.It soon started to snow very badly and the group decided to retreat.But it seems it was impossible to carry back Soumyo from the place wher he was lying sick.The group came back leaving him there.It seems the Indo Tibetan Border Police sent their men and helicopter to search for him but they found no one,they entire landscape was covered with snow.There has been a lot of controversy arising out of it.
But the crux is till date we have no clue.As I write this tears well out from my eyes for Soumyajit.Five years ago in 1997 we roamed the whole of Kolkata during Saptami.Such a hearty fellow with no complexity is a rarity.His best part was his figure-over 6 ft tall and equally well-built. And he seemed to have a knack for laughing at the simple jokes of life. Philately was his passion as also reading. He was an excellent footballer too.
I am proud to have been his friend .May Lord give him the best.

Hi Guys,
This is a shoking news I've ever heard. He was so dear to me. I just came to know from Bireshwar and subhaprata.
I wish and pray to god for a mirracle and he's OK.
Dear friends pls join your hands for a min if u read this and pray for him.
I'll be in touch with all our batchmates in delhi.
Lets hope for the best |

yes. soumyajit is a fantastic fellow, and I use the present tense for I believe unless anyhting has been found, we must keep ourt fingers crossed for him. |

Hi friends,
Just now while browsing net [ from silchar website ]i have come to know about our dear classmate soumyajit. It has just shocked me like anything .I remember him well. he is very tall with spects. ...and also he is pretty much cool guy.
yeah !!we should keep our finger crossed and wait for the good news to arrive.I know God will listen to our prayers.
And I all the way from here [US] sending my best wishes to all my friends out there. |
