Hi all
Recved quite a few requests from sylhetis who are not from silchar to have a different board for sylheti topics that are not related to silchar.
So thinking of dividing mahaadda main board into :
Silchar Room
Sylheti Room
General Room
... or something in these lines ...
any suggestions ...

The room distribution is fine
In fact, you may in future [ it won't be required too often] rearrange the wayward postings, if any, to the respective rooms. There may be a separate sub-room of Silchar room [toilet?] for such kind of topics like Why Silchar girls speak..., Silchar Galz, Sil Gala, E-Girls etc etc]. |

Hi admin,
It all depends on how u envisage Mahaadda in the future 2 years from now.
If you want to make it a general-purpose message board on the lines of yahoo groups, forget it. There won't be any takers. Moreover, with the poor revenue model, I don't feel it makes to much sense to divide the Mahadda into such broard based streams due to enhanced costs and maintenace. Well if we have another Sam Walton in the making, it's another story. ;D
But heart of heart I feel, we have a very good dedicated forum for people related to silchar and sylhetis. People can post their own threads and that's fine. Wayward topics can be dropped ;) ;).(note asiti)
Your vision in dividing the categories have been splendid. Don't spoil a good innings by offering a dolly catch. :) :) :)

My feeling is that whatever the idea it should be very simple and user friendly.
New ideas or threads should not cretae hurdles for new user to search for an ideal room.....also since the total group that has been using the maha adda (including heavy and light users) is pretty small....its like a close knitted family and the existing maha adda model is just perfect.......
its ok admin......spreading of the adda will no doubt create some focussed users but the total density of eyeballs are bound to disperse....and will take flights.....i am pretty sure abt that.............. |

Hi admin,
It's quite innovative idea. But again, I think time has not really come yet to creat sub-group or filter everyone's ideas and put it in a sub-group. It's not that we are getting hundreds of topics and it needs to be filtered accordingly.
So I believe for time being just leave it like that and lets see how it goes anyway.

the only necessity now i feel is to create a separate room for non-silchari sylhetis. A board for sylhetis (which will be relevant for silcharis too).
So the suggestion that one board thats not silchar specific. And that board can be syhleti specific.
The audience for mahaadda is :
Silcharis
and
Sylhetis
One thing that I came to know is that there are around 5 times the user ( may not be regular) who come to the mahaadda and read the messages but never post any. A majority of them are new to the internet.

see admin, if u divide mahaadda into subgroups then we will have to go through each and every group to find the topic of our interest. whereas now we find almost all the threads in the main room. na kita bhul koilam, kharap pailai ni. ami abar ektu bujhi kom. so............ well.......... god knows...... |

i just wanted to know where to apply for a new post. Without any idea , I here in this post ,request u to inform me with the proceedings for opening a new post for all Assam University students all over the country.And share ideas and experiences .... and be connected wherever we are.
