Hey guys... just trying to give a wakeup call to all the patrons of our beloved Manager out there. Yes...to all those people who survived on "Bun Chops" and Manager's awesome tea for full four years.
Guess am curious to know if anyone else misses those days - when our favourite 4 feet or so tall manager used to tread in with his 'pieces of metal hanging together by nuts and bolts' - the thing he used to call his bicycle. the way he would sit on his toes in front of the second hostel barb wire..and later on the boundary wall ... and wait for his permanent (rather only) clients to show up and have his delicious preparations ... i am surprised how we could enjoy the same thing over and over again for full 4 years !!!!
I think the manager's 'get together' was more than just an evening snack.. something that i miss even today !! Guess manager doesnt come to the campus anymore...seems all the shops were removed in 2000 or something (from what i heard).
so here I am ..trying to see if anyone else misses all that too (i am sure the people i am referring to would know )

I remember of all people drinking managers teas.....you were his most ardent client :)./....and u used to say that he puts afeem in his tea to get us all hooked...
True the tea session was more a social gathering than just an eating session. |

Khajju mere bhai..maa kasam ..sirf tu hi ek sincere aadmi nikla jisne reply diya.
True that manager's sessions were more of a social gathering than anything else..and of course leg pulling of the 'lovers' who used to take bun chops to their 'beloved ones' in the GH.
I wonder where that 4 ft manager is today ... or maybe he quit selling that stuff and he is fishing out there in some pond in the campus !!

Khajju bhai .. pond se yaad aaya - The time jab raat ko 2:00 baje bhoot bulane gaye the .. in Qtr 42 and Khurana was caught waist deep in the swamp and you had one leg shining in that black mud :-) .. to add to it - no water in the room . Aur fir se subah 4:00 baje second hostel terrace pe bhoot bulane baithe the..kuch to khatra enthu tha re.
sigh... That is something I will never forget :-)) . |

Abhey Vishal, It seems ki Boys Hostel se zyada to woh bun chop girls hostel jaate they..:)....waise to woh chai aur bun chop 2 minutes mein khatam...but we used to make sure that we rip our the clothes of every controversial figures..... i guess the favourites were...amit ghosh...manku...sinu..sometimes me aur use time jo koi bhi GH ki taraf jaate huwe dikh jaye...:)
Abhout the quarter 42 incident....i really remember the same as if it was yesterday...I had a leg in the swamp and chuchu was in it till his waist..hahaha...arey meri to chappal bhi kho gayee thee usme....and you forgot the hostel 2 wickets there...hahaha.. Ma kali re rupali aaisey re...hahaha

and btw .. pondi is coming to NY sometime soon. i asked him when ..lekin woh saala as usual kuch to bola which i could hardly get.
haan beta khajju...tu bhi bahut jata tha GH .Are you in touch with Anna or Namita or anyone ? Heard Namita is coming back here..am sure u know already :-D.
aur saale mujhe woh bhi yaad hai..that article you guys published about me in rengcofest..maa ki sab tera hi idea tha fur sure !!

its good ki Pondi aa raha hai NY...pehle aata to mil bhi leta...lekin abhi bhi woh waise hi hoga.....guitar bajata huwa...:)
haan yaar nammo was in Siebel hi...to beech beech mein mail aata tha....i think she left TCS to join her husband in CA. Not sure if she has already done that or not... anna ka to kuch pata nahin...

haan bhe*** .... tune to help ki hi koshish ki thi saale. tum logon ne ek baar first sem mein bhi help ki koshish ki thi .. jab 2.5Rs ki pineapple plate ki bet lagayee thi .. aur main aur Malik jat milne pahunch gaye the GH.
But am sure nothing comes even close to April Fool Day ..when Sinu went to GH. woh sahi tha. aajtak us baat ko lekar uski khinchai hoti hai.

Who's that Manager, its from 5th or 4th hostel, i think its near 4th hostel right?? thats why i don't have any idea regarding that,

He used to sit outside second hostel .but i dont think he was there after 99 or 00.

On second thots....manager also used to make dal ka pakoda....bhaiya kya mast bantein they woh pakode...in fact i remember if you did not go to his shop by 4:45, sabh pakode khatam......
one thing i cud never understand is ...woh zyada quantity mein kyon nahin banata tha pakode....sirf 10-12 banata tha....aur khatam.... |

end mein kaafi kuch lata tha woh . lekin there is one thing which made him unique..manager har cheez ka answer english mein deta tha .

manager - sugar ..sugar ? haan hai'
maa ki ... janta se zyada manager hi fi tha.
ek baar usse poocha..manager tum jo deem laate ho itne chote kyun hote hain .. batakh ke hain kya ? 'kis ke deem hain' ?
manager as usual bola - 'dock dock' (as in duck duck)

Sahi bol raha hai bhai...ek din maine us se poocha.... ki tumhara naam manager kyon hain.... to bola ki woh college canteen mein manager tha aur college mein sabh use manager hi blotein the....i think 94 ka batch jabh passout huwa tha to unlogon ne bechare ka dhaba jala diya...for some wierd reason i guess...
lekin bande ka daily wohi routine tha....us khatara cycle ke peechey...woh lakdi ki peti aur us mein woh saara samaan...aur woh sheeshey ke glass...by god usmein kuch milake 5-6 chammach chai hi aati hogi....
Hey i remembered something...do u remember the dhobi....jisne booby ki jean jala di thee aur booby ne pehle din hi use peet diya tha...haha...saala woh bhi kuch piece tha...jabh bhi kuch dhone ke liye do...kaheen na kaheen ched kar ke laata tha..... |

haa haa..5 -6 chammach chai..haa haa..sahi bola re.
aur tune booby ka naam liya to mujhe dhobi se zyada booby ke kisse yaad aa gaye.
ek baar uske cabin ki window mein hum log black paint (not water color..actual paint) se likh aaye the 'Big Boobs on display inside'. aur dumbbell se zor zor se knock bhi kiya tha..raat ko 3:00 baje. jo gali diya subah uthke booby maa kasam.
lekin the best part was when he used to take a bath at the handpump after Holi. Seeti maarne walon mein KVS prasad sabse aage hota tha !!
