Look at the pace REC Surathkal is coming up..!!
It is ranked 6th, ahead of IIT Delhi (IITD is a surprisisng 10th!!)
I have heard that IIT Delhi is not doing well these days.. but 10th is absurd... Any Ideas?
Last time I saw a REC beating IIT as per India Today Ranking was 4-5 years ago, when REC Trichy was ranked ahead of IIT Kgp.
By the way, IIT Kgp is going great guns these days.. 2 times no 1 ranking.. I visited IIT Kgp recently.. the ambience was electric there.. |

Just ask yourself, would you join REC Surathkal or IIT Delhi if you got the same department in both :)
If IITD is not doing well then how has it raised the bars for PostGraduation from last year to this
~ 97 to 99 percentile in M.Tech.
~ 95 to 99 percentile for B.Tech applying for PhD.
IITs are doing very well regardless of India Today's hand waiving.
