HELLO, FRIENDS I HAVE A VERY STRONG CONNECTION WITH TRIPURA. MY FATHER WAS A TEA PLANTER AND WAS POSTED THERE TILL 1991.
WE STAYED IN KAILASHAHAR, DHARMANAGAR , MAACHMARA, PANISAGAR ETC.
IT IS SUCH A NICE PLACE THAT SOME TIMES IN DREAMS I ROAM AROUND THE PLACES .
SOMETIMES I CAN SMELL THE AROMA OF THE SOIL, I WAS A STUDENT OF KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA , PANISAGAR , KAILASHASAR GOVT SCHOOL AND IDEAL BAHAI SCHOOL DHARMANAGAR .
I WOULD LIKE TO MEET WITH MY FRIENDS .
AND LIVE THE LIFE THAT WE LIVED AGAIN .

Hi, I am Amit Debnath, my native place is Nalchar, West Tripura, where I stayed for long 5 years. Still my parents are there at our own home. I am in Delhi due to my job. I am really surprised highly finding such a place in the net to share feelings of Tripura with others. I read all the messages carefully to find any of my friends but I did not. Though I met with lot of my new friends.
I would like to keep contact with you all the time. Thank you very much for developing such a good space for the people out and far from home. |

yes, I remember life before Mandai riot in 1980. my home was in a village named fatikroy around 3 kms from kumarghat. fatikroy dhuktey hoiley tokhon nouka diya manu nadi paroitey hoito. My grandfather had business of jute et al with the tribals from nearby hills. One such hill was kalatilla, now a dreaded place where police do not dare to enter even during day. I used to see the affection of those guys… forgetting all the names (muktajoy riang, punyafa…) . keht er bhangi, jum er misti kumra koto shob loiya loiya aito. Amar babarey tara cheley hishabey dekhto. Khub simple, honest , sadhasidha manush shob.
Bijili, I do not really agree to your point that politicians ruined the state or they have created their own frankestines in TNLF/TNV/ATTF etc. It’s the economic situation, no jobs, no source of income, no infrastuction … terrorism (so called, I call it kidnapping) is a great revenue generating opportunity. All these leaders are living a comfortable life in Bangladesh and they are exciting a bunch of young tribals who otherwise have no source of income and very very limited education with AK 47s and a steady source of income. I heard that they get monthly salaries and have ranks in the hierarchy. Don’t you think it’s a great business model?
