these r all scrap.... just rumour...
adding more tension to the situation some hopeless creatures had placed a BOMB like element somewhere in the ASTC office near Devdoot. CRPF aaiya dekhe sab faltu..... >:( >:( >:(

what exactly is happening there? how did this all come up? who made this threats? why is the administration taking this seriously? i even heard that announcements are being made using mikes that there is a red alert & that everyone should be vigilant. in my opinion if this is true this is not helping the situation. is this a specific threat or general, thats the question. if any of u have any updates please keep this message board informed. |

Red alert sounded in Barak Valley
SILCHAR, Aug 28 – Red alert has been sounded in Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi districts of Barak Valley following intelligence bureau reports that the Dhemaji type incidents may occur in Silchar town. Cachar Deputy Commissioner Sunanda Sengupta told The Assam Tribune that
security has been tightened in all the sensitive places including the schools in Silchar. Sheinformed that Army has been deployed in Silchar to help the State police and a temporary Army camp has been established in Silchar Sadar thana.
The Army and the police personnel are checking all the vehicles in Cachar district and security has been tightened in inter-State borders and international border of the district, she added. It may be mentioned here that Cachar has border with Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya and Bangladesh. On the other hand, the Border Security Force (BSF) has intensified its patrolling and sealed the ‘sensitive’ Indo-Bangla border in Karimganj district after getting report that a trained 50-60 member group of outlawed People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is waiting to sneak into India through border in Nilambazar area of the district. The BSF sources said that these trained militants are now camping in Sabaspur area of Bangladesh with heavy artillery and sophisticated weapons and will target Promode Nagar Tea Estate, Natanpur, Balia,
Bargunji, Madanpur, Nandibari etc. areas of Karimganj district for subversive activities.

i think someboday pharted very badly and thats the reason everyone is shouting bomb-bomb anyways find out that bad ass and kick him out of sil or else the new headline will be like this
"100 PEOPLE FOUND DEAD WHICH WAS FIRST THOUGHT TO BE A BOMB BLAST BUT POST-MORTEM REPORT SAID IT WAS DUE TO SOME CHEMICAL GAS ............"
I wonder why everyone is giving so much importance to a krap like this.. and by the way who will try to have a blast in silchar as silchar is neither so famous or there is anything which is extra-ordinary except the peoples....... |

Yes that's really a very bad news for Sichar, I don't know ealier never anything of this sort happened, my father used to say we are in Assam but never affected by any terrorists threats or stuff like that, Barak valley hoilo shantir deep.
But now we are really tensed by these warnings, I have also heard from my near ones that threatinings are coming for Collegiate school also, for this the school was closed on Monday.

5 college teachers get life threat islamic militants
Silchar, Sep 15 (UNI) Five college teachers have received threat letters from a little-known militant outfit 'Savior of Islam', police said today.
The outfit also 'asked' the authorities of the G C College, Silchar, to terminate the service of these teachers by today failing which ''appropriate action will be taken against them''.
The college authorities have informed the police and Cachar district administration and urged them to provide appropriate security to the teachers.
The letter had been handed over to the deputy commissioner of the district in south Assam.
