Bangalore-Calcutta flight ?? Info reqd.

Hi
I plan to take the flight from Bangalore to Calcutta which reaches Calcutta at 815AM and then take the flight from Calcutta to SIlchar which leaves at 945 AM ( Tue/Thu/Sat).
Did anyone of you try this connection? I am worried that I might miss the silchar flight as the time diff is very less. And moreover if I lose the flight to silchar , will Indian Airlines let me fly the next day ?
Pls let me know if you have the answers... I am not in India and will be visiting in a couple of months. If you have some time can any of you try to find out the information. I tried mailling them but didnot get any response till now.

Whatever personal experience I am having about the Calcutta Silchar Flight that I am explaining here. My dear U can continue your schedule without any hesitation because in normal practise the Calcutta Silchar flight very rarely takes off on time. As far as the Indian Airlines is concerned forget that they will help U in any situations. Once I was in trouble in Calcutta Airport because of negligence of the Indian airlines, My schedule was like: from Bombay to Calcutta & the very next morning Calcutta to Silchar, unfortunately after reaching Calcutta I came to know that there was a strike in Calcutta & no domestic flight is going to take off tomorrow morning. I had personally requested the Duty manager to arrange something (the situation was with other passengers also ) but unfortunately the authoritis were so irresponsible that they were simply ignoring their duties. Later on I was bound to manage on my own by using some rough comments towards the officials ( no need to mention ) what wordinds I had used, after that only the assistant Air Airport manager had arranged the ticket for the next days Flight. This type of help definitely U will get from the IA authorities but U will be forced to use rough wordings... At least it had happened with me.

Dear (would-be) Traveller ;D
That 6 AM flight from Blore will reach Kolkata not before 8:30...so the time difference is even less...that should even further raise your heartbeat I guess ;D...but have no fear...you will still get 75 minutes...which is more then enough...I've done it twice without any problems.
You might have a problem for the next day if you miss judging by the fact that Silchar seats are always in demand but I think a chat with the Airport manager should get you through...I don't think you'll need to face that though...just remember to "Through-check-in" at Blore airport...that'll save you the time with your luggage...You'll have to identify your luggage at Kolkata airport again of course.
While returning you shouldn't have any problem...the Kol-Blore flight is at 7:00 PM...and in case you can't wait that long, take the Jet Airways flight at 2:00 PM.It goes bia Hyderabad but you'll still reach Blore at around 5:00 PM which is much better than the 9:30 PM arrival of Indian Airlines.
