An appeal to the alumni of Adharchand Highersecondary School, Silchar.(Upgraded from High school to Highersecondary in 1985)
Dear sirs/students,
Walt Disney once said " All our dreams can come true-- if we have the courage to pursue them." Adharchand School is by common consent a name to reckon with in the field of education . With regard to academic achievments our school is going from strength to strength but with regard to financial condition it is going from weakness to weakness. However, inspite of financial constraint we are vigorously pursuing our dreams of making our institution an ideal one in this part of the country. Basing solely on donation we have managed to construct half of a science building costing approx fifteen lacs of Rupees. We have now reached a point of saturation even in regard to donation.
Hence we appeal to all our alumni in India and abroad to donate generously towards School funds and help this school grow and prosper.

Dear All,
Thats very nice to find that someone has at least put some effort to bring Adhar Chand HS Scools poor financial condition to limelight. I was a student of this school when it had some legendary teachers like Mr. Jagadish Paul, Mr. Ramani Sinha, Mr. Anju Palit and lot others - a long list of respected ones some of whome are still in the school-teaching to find out the talents of Barak valley. My memory of that school is still fresh even though I left the school in 1987. It has produced some gems of Silchar over the years and I am sure still the tradition continues. But we must realise that a school always needs some basic financial support to maintain the infrastructure while the government is not as helpful as needed. Being honourable students of Adhar Chand School, we must extend some help, how much ever possible, so that our school never loses its glory and ability just because of poor financial condition. I know so many of my seniors, batch mates and juniors from this school have carried the eductaion and cultures nourished in this great school. So ,lets do something to our dear school and make Adhar Chand HS School a better institution to produce more and more gems over the coming years and always.
Anyone, listening.....? Someone can come up with a fund where we all can donate something.
