8 students from Silchar top in HSLC !!!!
A total of eight students have topped in the HSLC examination from Silchar. Talking to The Assam Tribune, all the eight toppers, viz., Ankita Dutta and Abhijit Sipani, who stood 2nd and 13th positions respectively from Silchar Holy Cross School; Dibyajyoti Biswas and Abhisekh Pandey (Stood 8th and 19th position respectively) from Silchar Oriental High School; Sri Joydeep Paul, Kinnar Sen and Dibakar Nath- (stood-7th, 10th and 17th positions respectively) from Silchar Collegiate School, and another topper from Silchar Muktashree High School Suparna Dhar, who stood 18th position said that they were inspired by their parents and schools teachers.

if you can, take a look at the guy who topped the list...this guy's photograph appeared on newspapers...he was enjoying a ride on his classmates' shoulders... hand held in a 'v'...he looks a bugger...no sophistication...a casual look on his face...all the best to the rest of the guys...but I am sure...this guy...if he really has the attitude that his face and unassuming photograph shows, then he will go a long long distance...
true...HS and HSLC results are no benchmarks of a guy's brilliance...but here you have a stufd in the making.

more surprising was the result from Oriental School and Muktashree !!! But I must say after a long long time we had such a result from Silchar ...

Congrat to all youngsters! I hope the next HSLC students will repeat the success. Now we must support the subbessful 8 with whatever they need in their pursuit for excellence. The brain may go anywhere to make a living, but the heart should stay with Silchar! |

atleast to me it was a surprise ... two positions from oriental ... not that its of inferior standard or something ... but because two positions from one of the less known schools ... maybe this is an indication that good students are spread all over different schools ...
earlier we used to see ranks from mostly a few schools ...
